DISTRIBUTION OF GADGETS
Observing health protocols and all necessary precautions, the turnover of gadgets to the parents or guardians of students of PNHS – Don Galo was held on 23rd of October, 2020. Hon. Marilyn F. Burgos and the barangay council graced the occasion. The 20 units of Superking tablets ang 15 units of Samsung Galaxy Mega mobile phones. Were distributed. These gadgets were donations from 98 Temple of Manila Metropolis Lions Club District 301-A4 through the efforts of Don Galo Barangay Council. Each recipient was also given one SIM card and 100-peso load card which were donated by private individuals.
The short program started with a prayer led by Mrs. Jesselle Gatje, MT1, followed by the Opening Remarks of Mr. Nestor T. Torrecampo, OIC-Principal. Hon. Marilyn F. Burgos gave her message to the parents and guardians present. Mrs. Evelyn Tolentino, MT1 called on the names of the recipients for the for the turnover of gadgets. The barangay council together with Mr. Torrecampo handed over the gadgets to the parents / guardians.
Mrs. Janeth Author, parent , represented the parents/guardians in expressing gratitude to the Barangay council, its donors as well as the school. Each parent/guardian signed an agreement that the gadgets will be used only for educational purposes, it should not be pawned or sold, it shall be returned at the end of the school year.
GLOBAL HANDWASHING DAY
PNHS – Don Galo joined the celebration of the Global Handwashing Day on October 15, 2020. Mrs. Jesselle Gatje, the WinS Coordinator and the teachers informed and encouraged the students to participate in the global handwashing activity. Pictures and videos were asked as evidence of participation. The entire teaching and non-teaching force also participated.
LEARNING SUPPORT AIDES AT WORK
PNHS – Don Galo has three Learning Support Aides, Mr. Rosalito V. Valenzuela, Ms. Diorin Joy C. Reyes and Ms. Lea Jane Baldidomar. Their duties and responsibilities include sorting , bundling and distribution of students’ self-learning modules ; retrieval, recording, and sorting of answer sheets, assisted in the distribution of learner’s school ID, assisted the teachers in monitoring of learning tasks
PNHS-DON GALO ACADEMIC CONSULTATION CLINIC
The Academic Consultation Clinic (ACC) of PNHS-Don Galo is an intentional educational program through which students are assisted to continue his/her educational pursuit, and promote a culture of support between the school, students and parents.
The student-clientelles of ACC are students who are at risk of dropping out (SARDOs), those who have not communicated with the teachers , those without gadgets and with limited cellphone load and students with disabilities (SWDs). The academic consultants are the class advisers /teachers allowed by the Department of Education to report to school during the pandemic. Academic consultation will follow the schedule of the retrieval of answer sheets or whenever necessary.

The 5-Day INSET was successfully implemented since the teachers religiously attended each day, either it was catered from regional/national or from school-based. Moreover, the trainings chosen from the regional/regional focused on the ICT enhancement skills of the teachers as the demand of the distance learning amid the pandemic. Further, on the third to fifth days, the suggested topics from the Division Office were prioritized and the needs of the school for training were also considered. The said activity was monitored by Ms. Reena G. Orquina, -SDS, Rodel C. Apostol -EPS-ICT, Dr. Bernardo N. Mascarina-Chief CID, Dr Antonio C. Layacan-EPS-TLE, and Ms. Rosalyn Tagud-SGOD.
